Russia is on the decline, and their sabre-rattling is the death throes of a failed nation. Eventually, Russia will be incapable of maintaining its borders and be forced to retreat in the face of more powerful nations growing alongside her. Putin’s last brave attempt to stand up to the United States via Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia is an effort to show the world that the decaying country was still a threat.
