Along with this, let’s return to a system of choosing electors, not the president. Ideally, I’d like the state legislatures to appoint the electors, and then have the electors duke it out to choose the president and vice-president. The position of president is too important and requires a much more thorough investigation of loyalties and backgrounds than the people can ever provide.
