Ascension Island: Evolution at Work?

by

As Charles Darwin was wrapping up his fabled journey, he encountered a desolate island made out of ash and volcanic rock. This island, Ascension Island, would be transformed into an island paradise complete with a “cloud forest”.

What was the magical process at work to turn complete desert into paradise? Was it Charles Darwin’s famous theory of evolution, that animals and plants slowly change forms over millions of years? Or was it something else?

Maybe something similar to the creation story found in Genesis?

You’ll have to read for yourself and decide. (link) As for me, when someone turns rocks and ashes into a jungle by transplanting existing species of plants, that is a clear sign that our earth wasn’t populated through chance and evolution.

It was populated by transplanting plants and animals from a different source, just like the creation story says.

Where precisely in the theory of evolution does it suggest that new life forms would evolve on the island before existing ones would be transplanted there? Macroevolution takes thousands of years, if not longer.

For someone who prides himself on being an informed critic of evolution, you certainly don’t have a clue about what evolution actually means.
